The Alliance for Childhood Cancer will be, once again, hosting a two-day event that provides the childhood cancer community with the opportunity to visit Representatives on Capitol Hill and advocate for important childhood cancer issues. This year’s Childhood Cancer Action Days in Washington, DC, is on June 15-16, 2015.

We want our legislators to recognize that childhood cancer goes beyond statistics by showing them the faces of children personally touched by childhood cancers. We are asking you to participate in the Faces of Childhood Cancer project. If you’d like to see an example of how another family shared their story, click here.

Please consider participating in this project with us. Here is a blank template to get you started.

Below are a few instructions and helpful tips:

  • ·         No political messages
  • ·         Share your child – what they love, things about them, photos
  • ·         Tell your child’s story visually – photos and drawings work best
  • ·         Children can and should create their own piece if possible
  • ·         Be sure to include your city and state so they can get it to the right legislator

To participate:

  • ·        If you are attending Action Days, please bring 6 copies with you to the training.
  • ·        If you are not attending Action Days, please send your 6 copies to:
