Please join us for Team G’s Inaugural Family Festival and help us launch Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation! We will be having our inaugural fundraiser to benefit Team G Foundation, which will include a family day of fun including live entertainment, a hula show, a bouncy house, food, beverages, games for everyone, a raffle with some great prizes and an introduction to Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation! Our event will honor the children and families who have been affected by childhood cancer. Most importantly, we will celebrate the lives of our inspirations, our Angel Tianna and our Survivor Gabriella. These children are the motivation behind the beginnings of Team G Foundation, in hopes to inspire individuals around the country to “get active” in the fight against pediatric cancer.
We would like to invite you and your family to join in on the fun on Sunday, July 7th, 2013 from 12pm to 6pm. The event will be held at the Redwood Estates Pavilion in Los Gatos, CA from 12pm to 6pm. It will be a fun family type atmosphere where friends, parents and children can gather for a day of celebration with a barbeque from the local Santa Clara County Fire Department, desserts and appetizers from local restaurants & bakeries. We are hoping to attract individuals and families from Santa Clara County and Santa Cruz County who are looking to spend time together while raising money and awareness for pediatric cancer. Our goal is to raise funds for Team G’s mission, which is supporting families fighting pediatric cancer and funding new and innovative treatments to ultimately cure childhood cancer.
Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation is a national organization dedicated to supporting families fighting pediatric cancer and funding new and innovative treatments to ultimately cure childhood cancer. Just a few months ago after a year of battling their 4 year-old daughter’s cancer, Kristin and Adam Cosner (and a dedicated board of advisors) launched Team G Foundation as a national non-profit organization supporting all types of pediatric cancer at leading research institutions. Until we find a cure for childhood cancer, we are dedicated to supporting families fighting this disease with our starter packages, our online resources, and inspiring stories of children fighting cancer. Pediatric cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. taking the lives of more children than asthma, AIDS, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy combined. A lack of funding into new and improved therapies contributes to this sobering statistic. Through the simple idea of “getting active”, Team G motivates and inspires individuals to participate in our “Fight for Gold” Challenge; a 7 minute exercise to be performed the 7th day of every month in honor of the seven children that die each day from childhood cancer. Our challenges will be changed monthly to honor one of our inspirations; a Warrior, a Survivor or an Angel who has battled childhood cancer. With this simple act of exercising, we are encouraging individuals to join in the fight against pediatric cancer by raising the funds and awareness necessary to change the face of pediatric cancer and provide more families with the hope they deserve. Every day, 36 children are diagnosed with cancer, and every day 7 children die. Children are worth your time and investment and they deserve a chance to live a long and fulfilling life.
