Dear Team G Childhood Cancer Supporters,
In the past year, you have been involved in a dedicated group by participating in our “Fight for Gold” fundraiser challenge, which is a workout in honor of a Warrior, Survivor or Angel performed on the 7th of every month, honoring the seven children who die every day from cancer.
Our board has been discussing the Fight for Gold challenge and we’re changing things up! We would like to let the parents (of the honored child) decide where the money that is raised for the challenge on the 7th should be directed. It can fund any childhood cancer organization or can be directed to stay with Team G for pediatric cancer research or Hope Totes.
We know there are so many great organizations out there and parents who want to raise funds for different foundations. By continuing to honor children affected by cancer with a “Fight for Gold” challenge along with having the honored parents choose the foundation to donate to, Team G hopes this will motivate more people to participate!
TGCCF is also creating an easy activity that will happen the whole month for the honored child. This coming April 7th, we are honoring Survivor Aurora. In conjunction, we will be starting a “Run for Gold” happening this month of April! People can run and post their miles on Facebook weekly HERE AND at the end of the month. Individuals can also get pledges for miles they run (or named activity for the month). Please visit HERE for pledge forms!
To summarize, the funds that are collected for the “Fight for Gold” and the “Run for Gold” can either be used by Team G for childhood cancer research, Hope Totes, or sent to a childhood cancer organization of your choice! So….run, fight and have fun!!!
We hope that you will join us, once again, as we Fight For Gold and Run for Gold in April! Thank you for your support! Together we can make a difference!
Sincerely,
Kristin Cosner, Founder and CEO
Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation
P.S. If you are participating in the challenge again and haven’t yet sent a picture for your donation page, please do so. It is much easier for your sponsors to quickly recognize the page as belonging to you if they can see your photo. Thank you!
