This past May 2014, Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation was chosen as the featured non-profit of the evening by the Santa Cruz Derby Girls. Most of us had never been to a bout but there was much excitement in the air when the Boardwalk Bombshells played the Oakland Outlaws, especially when Matt Damon made an appearance! Matt heard all about Team G took a photo to help support us, which was an amazing experience. We left Matt, his wife and his family Team G shirts. Thanks to Board members Claudia, Diego, Kellie, Bill, founders Kristin and Adam, and Ronnie for helping set the event up, we were able to raise funds for the Team G mission for childhood cancer and share awareness about this devastating disease. No doubt, it was a successful evening.
