And the Winners of the Coins for Kids’ Cancer………..

Mrs. Lance and Mrs. Decleve’s 1st Grade Class!!!

This amazing class brought in over $363 in hard earned coins!  Many of the children emptied out their piggybanks after years of collecting.  One even gave up her birthday party earnings to donate to the class jar.  I’m so impressed by the hard work of this amazing class!  They definitely earned their pizza party and honorary medals. Although we could only have one class that received 1st, all of these children are winners in our book!

THANK YOU!!!

“On behalf of children and families fighting pediatric cancer we all want to thank you for the tremendous job you did raising coins for the coins for kids Cancer coin Drive. Throughout the month, I kept hearing amazing stories of you guys going out of your way to find callings in the laundry room, in the couch, emptying out hard earned coins and piggy banks, and even finding money around school grounds and bringing it in to your jars in the classroom. I have to tell you that sharing some of those stories brought tears to my eyes. I was so taken back by the motivation you all showed to take care of other children and you should all be so proud!” ~ Kristin Cosner, Founder

VINE HILL ELEMENTARY COIN DRIVE

Dear Vine Hill Parents and Friends,
Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation was the lucky organization to be chosen by Vine Hill Elementary to participate in this years fundraiser, Coins for Kids’ Cancer. We are honored to be a part of the activities this year.
As many of you know, our daughter Gabriella went through a year of cancer treatments after being diagnosed at the age of 4. Through this journey, we shared our story and found a magnitude of strength, compassion, and solidarity from our community here in Scotts Valley.  We never expected people to be so giving and will always remember the kindness you all showed to me and my family.  We found strength in many of you to get us through such a difficult year.
Since Gabriella is now recovered, Team G has made it a goal to support other families traveling this same journey and raise precious dollars for pediatric cancer research. Our vision is to inspire and motivate individuals to become involved in raising funds for research with the hope of someday eradicating this illness so no more children have to suffer through cancer treatments.  More importantly, our wish is for no more children to lose their lives to cancer.
Our hope is to encourage our Vine Hill students to participate in raising funds for children who are battling cancer.
Thank you again for inviting Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation to participate.
In gratitude,
Kristin Cosner
