TEAM G AMBASSADORS
At Team G, we believe that in order to finally rid this world of childhood cancer, we need more than just awareness, we need action. Motivating individuals to become involved in the fight against this horrible disease is what we hope to achieve through our foundation. We are extremely blessed and honored by all those who volunteer at our events and spread the word about childhood cancer. Our goal with this page is to honor those who have gone above and beyond and answered our call to “Promote Action”. These ‘Ambassadors’ have given their time, raised over $10,000 in support of our mission and have shown themselves to be continually active in the fight against childhood cancer.
Bill Sylvester
“This battle we fight is in honor of those lost, and in hope for those still fighting and those not yet diagnosed. We demand a change. We demand that we lose no more! We allow outrage in. We blend it with our hope. Now that we have become aware, we will not stand by.” – Bill Sylvester
You would be hard pressed to find a more compassionate and understanding person than our very own Bill Sylvester. When Gabriella was diagnosed with cancer “Uncle Bill”, was there. In fact, he has been there through it all and has taken the cause to heart. Shortly after Team G was founded in 2013, Bill made the decision to go the extra mile…literally. A veteran of AIDS rides and several other physical fundraisers, Bill raised the Team G flag and rode his recumbent bike from the Canadian border to the border of Mexico and in the process raised over $13,000 for Team G and inspired thousands more. A few months later, Bill was asked to join the board of the Team G Childhood Cancer Foundation. We are very pleased to announce Bill as our first Team G Ambassador.

Sofia, Denise and Ralph Vernacchia
As parents of a child with cancer, your one goal is to do everything in your power to fight for your child’s life. Denise and Ralph have taken this goal to a whole other level as they raise funds to fight for all children stricken with cancer during their own daughter, Sofia’s fight with cancer. Sofia was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June of 2014. Shortly after, Denise and Ralph learned the devastating fact that childhood cancers receive less than 4% of the government budget for funding. This is when they decided to make a change and focus on raising precious dollars for pediatric cancer. To this point, Denise, Ralph and Sofia have raised over $33,000 for Team G to support childhood cancer research and fund our Hope Tote program. We are honored to welcome these three incredible individuals as Team G Ambassadors!
