7 Months of FIght For Gold
Did you know the color of the childhood cancer ribbon is GOLD?
Over 80 participants have joined in the Fight for Gold challenge on the 7th of every month…at home, in the gym, in the park….which proves that this challenge can be done ANYWHERE! Team G is ecstatic that CrossFit West, CrossFit Watsonville, and CrossFit Central have held challenges at their gyms and can’t thank them enough for their support and participation!
We are working to motivate more and more participants every day to participate in the FIght for Gold challenge! It’s so easy and fun, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain! We initiated our Fight for Gold challenge at our Team G Family Festival where two advanced competitors, David Millar and Whitney Heuser went head to head with a grueling competition. Not to fear, we have most of our challengers partaking in the beginner/intermediate challenge and that day the challenge was ON!
Team G is extending the challenge to ANYONE to perform on ANY DAY for ANY CHILD affected by cancer! This is the most important aspect of our foundation because we want families, friends and communities to get active for childhood cancer and spread the word about the fight! Tell us what this child is all about and why you are participating, and we could tell his/her story to the nation as a Team G Inspiration. Team G is challenging people across the nation to register and partake in the fun! We’ll create a link for you for fundraising, give you forms to help in your efforts, help share your event on our calendar, while you GET ACTIVE in the fight against pediatric cancer!
The concept is easy…”get active” and raise funds to battle childhood cancer at the same time. The Team G “Fight for Gold” challenge is completed on the 7th day of every month honoring the 7 children that loose their battle with cancer every day. The challenges will change every month honoring a Team G Inspiration: a warrior for the child currently battling cancer, a survivor for the child that has fought cancer, and an angel for the ones who unwillingly succumbed to their battle. Team G Foundation honor’s those children and tells their story in hopes to motivate individuals to get involved in the fight against pediatric cancer. We will continue to honor a Team G inspiration but encourage you to honor YOUR inspiration with a Fight for Gold Challenge!
